[Bandung] Penangkaran Rusa (Deer Farm) at Kampung Cai Rancaupas

The new must visit tourism spot in Bandung where you can find peace while find yourself immerse with South Bandung nature. A must visit place for animal lovers & instagram-able photo hunter!


Dear animal lovers, this is your heaven!

If you already familiar with Kawah Putih (White Crater), Situ Patengang lake, and Strawberry Farm in Ciwidey, you should try to visit Kampung Cai Rancaupas in South Bandung as well. It's only took 1,5 hour car driving from Bandung city, you can find this deer farm (Penangkaran Rusa) in Kampung Cai Rancaupas area.


How do i get there?

You can drive car for 1,5 hour from Bandung City area. Take the new tol way in Bandung - Soroja (Soreang - Pasir Koja) and exit in Soreang gate. Follow the road direction to Ciwidey / Kawah Putih. You can easily find Kampung Cai Rancaupas just before the White Crater (Kawah Putih) area. It will be on your right side of the road (if you come from Bandung).

The deer in this area are already familiar with human, so you can easily pet & touch them.

How much do I need to pay?

You only need to pay 15.000 IDR (about 1 USD) for local tourist ticket. You can also carrot for 10.000 IDR or morning glory for 5.000 IDR to feed the deer (it's optional).


They wont force you to buy the deer food, however it will be easier for you to touch the deer if you call them with foods

CICI REVIEW tips :

  1. If you don't want to pay for deer food, you can prepare and bring vegetables from your home. You can save some bucks by doing so. :p

  2. Using closed/sport shoes will be more comfortable as the bumpy ground contour is obviously not friendly for high heels lovers and you will see a lot of deer's poo-poo in the area. Unless you want to touch it with your skin I guess better to use closed shoes.

  3. Come in the morning (9-11 AM or 3-4 PM) for more comfortable weather (as the sun is not that strong) and there are not many visitor at that time especially in morning time.

  4. Do not use saloon /short car (mobil sedan) as the entrance road is SO BAD and rocky (June 2018).
