[Jakarta] Ennichisai 2018 : Japan Summer Festival in Little Tokyo Blok M

You don't need to go as far as Japan to see the summer festival, just simply visit this Little Tokyo in Blok M Jakarta area to feel Japan Summer Festival ambiance.


Blok M square has always been famous as the Little Tokyo in Jakarta area as you can easily find stores, restaurant and market that sell Japan's stuff in this area. However, if you come to this area in the end June, you can feel "more Japanese" atmosphere as they held an event called Ennichisai on this area.

Enichisai 2018 Summer Festival Ambience, can you see the crowd?

In Ennichisai , you can see various Japan cultures in one place, from cosplayer, Anime & Manga merchandise, Japanese people wearing Yukata & Kimono and also the famous Japanese FOOD!


Just like the Japan festival, they also have Mikashi & Dashi parade. It was one of the most waited attraction in Ennichisai, they started the parade at 5 PM and last for 1 hour long. Be sure to not miss it!

  1. As the crowd is going to be so packed, be extra careful with your belongings! There were pickpockets everywhere.

  2. If you come in day/afternoon time the weather is sooo HOT! Use comfortable clothes and don't forget to bring your hat or sunnies.
